Smart Wrestler for wrestlers
Your account holds your profile, your tournaments, and your match results. What you can do on your own depends on your age: under 13, a parent sets things up for you; from 13 to 17 you can have your own login and link a parent; at 18 and older it is all yours. This page covers your profile, linking a parent, check-in, and finding your matches.
Step 1
Start here
| Your age | How your account works |
|---|---|
| Under 13 | A parent sets up your profile, or approves your signup by email. They register you and manage your account. |
| 13 to 17 | You can sign up with your own email. A parent can link to your account to register you and follow along. |
| 18 and older | Your account is yours. You register, sign waivers, and pay for yourself. |
After you sign up, finish your profile so tournaments can place you in the right division.
Under 13 and waiting to sign in? Your signup stays pending until your parent approves it from the email sent to them. How to approve a child’s signup.
Already have a profile your parent added? Claim your existing profile when you sign up, even if you are 13 or older.
Step 2
Your profile
Choose Set Up Profile from your dashboard, or open Athlete Profile any time. You can edit your name, how your name sounds, your school or club, your grade, and your weight class.
- Add how your name sounds so announcers say it right.
- Pick your wrestling club so your coach can find you and add you to their roster.
- Keep your grade level up to date. It decides which division you can enter.
- Accessibility notes are optional and are only seen by event staff, so they can help on the day.
Step 3
Link to a parent
When a parent asks to link to your account, you will see the request on your dashboard.
- Approve it if you know the person. Decline it if you do not.
- You can have up to two linked parents or guardians.
- A linked parent can register you, pay for events, and follow your matches.
Step 4
Register for an event
Open the event, choose Register, and fill in your weight class, division, and any consents. If there is an entry fee you will pay at the end.
Step 5
Check-in
On events with at-home weigh-in, you (or a parent) check in yourself on the morning of the event. Morning Self Check-In opens at 12:00 AM on tournament day. On events with weigh-in at the venue, staff check you in when you arrive.

Step 6
Matches and results
- Your dashboard shows active, upcoming, and past tournaments, plus your recent matches.
- Open a tournament to see your bracket and a list of your matches.
- Turn on notifications to hear when you are close to wrestling.
- Your record and history build up automatically as you compete.
Before you arrive
Before leaving for an event, confirm that you are looking at your existing athlete profile, that your school or club and grade are current, and that the intended tournament appears in your account. If you already have a parent-managed profile, use the claim steps above instead of creating a second record.
- Confirm the event date, venue and the host’s arrival and weigh-in instructions.
- Check that registration is complete; a checkout you abandoned is not a confirmed entry.
- If the event requires a parent to sign, have your linked parent finish that step before travelling.
- Open the event bracket once it is published, then check the current bout and mat after each result.
