How do I make a seeded wrestling bracket?
Paste one name per line, with your strongest seed at the top. The first entry becomes seed one, the next seed two, and so on. The example has eight placeholder wrestlers so you can see the structure immediately. Replace the example with your own field; duplicate names need a team label or initial so the winner controls can distinguish entrants. Blank lines are ignored. Keep each name under 81 characters and use no more than 64 wrestlers for one bracket.
Where do the byes go in a 16 man bracket?
A field of nine through sixteen entrants uses sixteen slots. A twelve-wrestler field therefore has four byes, awarded to seeds one through four. Seed order spreads the top seeds across opposite halves and quarters instead of placing them in adjacent slots. A bye advances the wrestler automatically and does not represent a contested match. Every single-elimination field of n wrestlers needs n minus one actual bouts to find a champion, even when its printed bracket has additional empty slots.

Can I make a 4, 8, 16, 32 or 64 man bracket?
Yes. Enter between four and sixty-four names and the bracket automatically uses the smallest supported power-of-two size that fits. Empty first-round positions become byes for the highest seeds.
