The girls’ and boys’ rows differ at several limits and at the highest class. Label the division explicitly when sharing a team entry list. “12U, 75” needs the girls’ context, while “12U, 74” is a boys’ chart entry. A spreadsheet column headed only “weight” can conceal that distinction.
How are USA Junior and UWW age divisions different?
The 2027 USA Junior entry includes a September 1, 2007 birth cutoff and grades 9–12 conditions, with additional spring-semester and four-consecutive-year language in the official chart. Read that full note before confirming eligibility. An eighth grader is not automatically a Junior because they meet a birth cutoff.
The same official page lists UWW U15, U17, U20, U23 and senior categories separately. Their kilogram lists and age conditions belong to that international structure. Do not convert a domestic pound class and assume the result becomes an official UWW entry. The event invitation should state which structure it uses.
