For parents

Tournament day, without the panic

One account for the whole family. Register the kids, get told, by name, when each one is about to wrestle, and watch every match scored live from wherever you are in the gym.

Quick answer

Smart Wrestler lets wrestling parents link their kids to one free account, register them for tournaments online, and follow their matches live. Premium plans ($40/year or $6 per tournament) add in the hole, on deck, and up to wrestle alerts for every linked child, one plan covers the whole family.

What does Smart Wrestler do for wrestling parents?

It turns the most stressful parts of tournament day into notifications. A free parent account links up to two wrestlers (four with premium), including kids under 13, through a COPPA aware approval flow, and from that one account you register them for events, pay entry fees by card, and receive the day’s updates: weigh in complete, bracketed, bracket started, mat assignment, results posted.

Everything is also visible live: your kid’s bracket, the queue on their assigned mat, and their match scored point by point. Grandparents at home watch the same live pages from a shared link, no app to install, no account required just to watch.

How do I know when my kid is about to wrestle?

This is the premium feature families upgrade for. Three targeted alerts track each linked child through the live mat queue: in the hole (two bouts away, start warming up), on deck (next, get to the mat), and up to wrestle (called). Each alert names the child and the mat, so a parent with three kids wrestling on three mats knows exactly who needs to be where.

The alerts are computed from the actual mat queue the table workers run, not a printed schedule, so when the day inevitably shifts, the alerts shift with it. You can be at the concession stand, in the parking lot, or watching another kid’s match, and still have everyone matside on time.

What does a parent premium plan include?

The Upgrade tier is $40/year, or $6 for a single tournament, and covers all linked kids with one plan: mat call alerts, up to 2 additional wrestler links (4 total), tournament history, score audit trails, Wrestler Tendencies for your kids, and a family analytics dashboard. Ultimate ($65/year) extends tendencies, history, and audit trails to all wrestler profiles.

The key design choice: parent premium inherits to every linked wrestler. You never buy per child subscriptions, one family plan means every kid gets premium treatment.

How is my child’s privacy protected?

Kids under 13 participate through parental approval rather than independent accounts, parents control registrations and purchases, and individual wrestler profile pages are deliberately excluded from search engine indexing, your child’s name and results do not become Google results. The details are in the Smart Wrestler privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an app that tells me when my kid wrestles?

Yes, Smart Wrestler sends in the hole, on deck, and up to wrestle alerts for each linked child by name and mat, driven by the live mat queue. It runs in any phone browser; no download needed.

How much does Smart Wrestler cost for parents?

Free accounts include registration, live brackets, and standard notifications. Premium is $40/year (Upgrade) or $65/year (Ultimate), or a $6 single tournament pass, and one parent plan covers all linked kids.

Can I follow more than one child at the same tournament?

Yes. Each alert and dashboard entry is per child, so parents with multiple wrestlers see each kid’s mat, queue position, and results separately and simultaneously.

Can family at home watch the matches?

They can follow every bracket and match scored live in a browser from anywhere, free, no account. Live scoring updates the moment the table records each action.

Is Smart Wrestler safe for kids under 13?

Yes. Under 13 athletes join via parent approval (COPPA aware), parents control their participation and purchases, and individual wrestler profiles are excluded from search engine indexing.
