For wrestlers

Wrestle the match. The system handles the rest.

Know your bracket, your mat, and your call time without hovering at a bout board, then study exactly how each match was scored and watch your rates climb across the season.

Quick answer

Smart Wrestler gives wrestlers a free account with their brackets, matches, saved tournament history, and standard notifications. Premium ($30/year or $4 per tournament) adds in the hole/on deck/up to wrestle alerts, personal score audit trails, and Wrestler Tendencies stats.

What does a wrestler see on tournament day?

Your day, filtered to you: which bracket you are in, who you have, which mat you are assigned to, and where your next bout sits in that mat’s queue. Results post the moment your matches are scored, and your bracket path updates live, including the consolation route if the day takes a detour.

With a premium plan, the phone in your warm up bag becomes your call system: in the hole means start moving, on deck means shoes tied, up to wrestle means you are called, timed off the live mat queue, not a guess.

What stats does a wrestler get?

Two layers. First, the score audit trail: every match you wrestle on Smart Wrestler keeps its complete scoring record, each takedown, escape, reversal, near fall, and penalty in order, through the final result. It is film study on paper: you can reconstruct exactly where a close match was won or lost.

Second, Wrestler Tendencies: your audit trails compiled into positional rates, takedown efficiency per neutral start, escape rate per bottom opportunity, near fall rate on top, reversal rate from bottom. Rates, not totals, so they are honest about small samples and they show development: an escape rate that climbs from December to March is proof the bottom work paid off.

Do wrestlers need their own account?

It depends on age. Younger wrestlers are typically linked to a parent account, the parent registers, pays, and receives alerts, and a parent premium plan automatically covers all linked kids. Older wrestlers (high school and up) often run standalone accounts: register yourself, follow your own bracket, and manage your own premium plan at wrestler pricing ($30/year Upgrade, $50/year Ultimate, or a $4 tournament pass).

What does the free tier include?

  • View upcoming tournaments and register online.
  • See your brackets after they are generated, live all day.
  • Your saved tournament history, event by event.
  • Link your account to a parent.
  • Standard notifications: weigh in complete, bracketed, bracket start, mat assignment, results, tournament status.

Premium adds the three mat call alerts, your personal score audit trails, and your Tendencies stats. Ultimate extends tendencies, history, and audit visibility to all wrestler profiles, useful when you want to study the kid across the bracket.

Frequently asked questions

How do I see my matches at a wrestling tournament?

Log in to Smart Wrestler and open the tournament: your bracket, opponents, assigned mat, and queue position are all live. Results post the moment your matches are scored at the table.

How much does Smart Wrestler cost for a wrestler?

Free accounts include brackets, history, and standard notifications. Premium is $30/year (Upgrade) or $50/year (Ultimate), or a $4 single tournament pass for mat calls and your personal stats.

Can I see how my matches were scored?

Yes, premium wrestlers see their full score audit trail: every takedown, escape, reversal, near fall, and penalty in sequence, for every match wrestled on the platform.

What are Wrestler Tendencies?

Positional performance rates computed from your scored matches: takedown efficiency from neutral, escape rate from bottom, near fall rate on top, and reversal rate. They track development across the season automatically.

Should I link to my parent’s account or make my own?

Younger wrestlers link to a parent (whose premium plan covers them automatically). Older wrestlers with their own devices typically run standalone accounts with wrestler tier pricing.
