Why is there no app to download?

App store apps have to be found, installed, updated, and logged into, usually while standing in a crowded gym on weak Wi-Fi. A web app removes all of that. Open smartwrestlertracker.com, log in once, and add it to the home screen if you want an icon. Every parent, coach, and table worker at the event is on the same version at the same moment, which matters when a bracket changes at 9:40 in the morning.

What does the app show a parent or wrestler?

• The tournament page: schedule, divisions, weight classes, and the roster once the host makes it visible.
• The bracket for each linked wrestler the moment it is generated, updated as matches complete.
• Mat assignment and position in the queue for every mat, the digital bout board.
• Live score and clock for the match in progress, and the result the moment the table completes it.
• Notifications: weigh in complete, bracketed, bracket started, mat assigned, results posted, tournament status changes, payment received, and host broadcasts, all free.
• Premium: in the hole, on deck, and up to wrestle alerts, score audit trails, and Wrestler Tendencies.

What does the app do for a coach?

The coach dashboard puts every wrestler on the team on one screen with bracket, mat, status, and results. Coach Upgrade adds mat call alerts for the whole team, so a coach with kids on six mats is never reading six bout boards. Team dual events add lineups and dual by dual scoring.

What does the app do for the host and table workers?

Everything: registration and payments, weigh in and check in stations, bracket generation, mat assignment, live scoring with undo and an audit trail, the spectator scoreboard for each mat, and awards. Staff and volunteers log in on their own devices with roles that expire when the event completes. There is no scoring hardware to buy or maintain.

USA Bracketing is USA Wrestling's official system for its sanctioned regional and national events, and its apps serve those tournaments. Smart Wrestler is an independent platform for the tournaments you host yourself and for any event a host chooses to run on it. If your event is on USA Bracketing, use their app; if it is on Smart Wrestler, nothing needs installing at all.
