Quick answer

Use a free wrestling scoreboard on one phone, tablet or laptop. Enter the two wrestler labels, choose folkstyle or freestyle corner colors, set the period and duration, then start the clock and record referee-awarded points. The board provides pause, reset, one-step score undo and fullscreen where supported. It is a manual standalone display without referee logic or remote synchronization. Sharing captures labels and scores as a snapshot; the running clock is not shared between devices.

How do I operate the wrestling match clock?

Choose the period duration before starting. Start begins the countdown; Pause retains the elapsed time, and Reset clock restores the selected duration. The timer measures elapsed wall-clock time rather than subtracting a fixed amount on every browser interval, so an occasional delayed update does not intentionally slow the clock. Keep the device awake and this page open during use. Browser suspension or device sleep can still interrupt visibility. Changing the duration resets the countdown, while changing the period label requires the operator to pause and reset it deliberately.

How should points be recorded on the board?

Each wrestler has clearly labeled add and remove buttons. Record the points awarded by the referee rather than using the buttons to decide an action’s value. Scores cannot fall below zero. The undo control restores the scores immediately before the most recent point edit, then clears that undo entry. Folkstyle uses the product’s red and green corner mapping; freestyle displays red and blue while retaining the same internal sides. The board does not automatically declare a technical fall, a pin, overtime criteria or a riding-time point.

Can a second device follow this free scoreboard live?

The free utility is a single-device board. Fullscreen can make it suitable for a local projector or connected display, subject to browser support. Copy link without entries opens a fresh board; explicitly including entries shares the current labels and score snapshot. The receiver gets an independent copy and does not follow later edits or the running clock. For multiple connected mats, spectator views and a durable score audit trail, use Smart Wrestler’s live scoring feature. Printed output records the displayed board rather than creating an official signed match record.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a connected live tournament scoreboard?

No. It is a standalone manual scoreboard for one device. Smart Wrestler’s live scoring product provides the connected event workflow and spectator updates.

Does the clock keep running when I pause?

Pause records elapsed time and stops further countdown. Start resumes from that point. Reset returns to the selected period duration. Keep the page visible and device awake for reliable match operation.

Does freestyle change the score buttons?

The corner display changes from red/green to red/blue. Points remain manually entered from the referee’s signals. The board does not replace a freestyle rules engine or calculate tied-bout criteria.
