Quick answer
Calculate wrestling season statistics by entering wins, losses, pins, technical falls, major decisions and total match points scored and allowed. The tool shows record, win percentage, pin rate, average points and bonus-win rates with both match and win denominators. Bonus wins here mean pins, technical falls and major decisions, excluding forfeits. All totals should describe the same match sample. The calculator does not compare opponent quality, infer tendencies from missing match details or send an athlete’s record to the product.
Which totals should I enter for season statistics?
Use one consistent set of matches for wins, losses, result categories and points. Enter the number of wins by pin, technical fall and major decision as non-overlapping categories. Those categories together cannot exceed wins; the form reports an error if they do. Total match points means numerical points accumulated during individual bouts, not dual team points or placement points. If some match scores are unavailable, do not combine the complete season record with partial scoring totals and assume the displayed averages describe the full season.
How are pin and bonus rates calculated?
Win percentage is wins divided by all entered matches. Pin rate is pins divided by those matches. Bonus-win rate is displayed twice: bonus wins divided by all matches, and bonus wins divided by wins. Those denominators answer different questions, so the labels remain explicit. Major decisions belong to folkstyle; this calculator does not translate international result categories automatically. Forfeit wins are excluded from its bonus definition. A zero-match or zero-win denominator produces an explanatory label instead of an invalid percentage or a misleading perfect result.
What can these numbers tell a wrestler or coach?
The output summarizes entered totals and helps a coach track a season consistently. It does not account for strength of schedule, injuries, opponent weight, time wrestled or the mix of tournament formats. Average points scored and allowed divide the entered totals by all wins and losses, so a fall with no full numerical score can change their interpretation. Treat these as descriptive measures and keep the match sample clear when sharing them. Smart Wrestler’s wrestler analytics feature connects recorded matches to detailed history rather than requiring a manual season-total worksheet.
Frequently asked questions
What is wrestling bonus-win percentage?
In this utility, bonus wins are pins, technical falls and major decisions. The result shows bonus wins divided by all matches and divided by wins, with each denominator named explicitly. Forfeits are excluded.
Can I calculate stats with zero matches?
Yes. The record can be zero-zero, but percentage and average outputs display No matches rather than dividing by zero. A bonus rate per win also needs at least one win.
Are these stats saved to an athlete account?
No. This no-login calculator works locally. Copy or print the summary to keep it, or use the wrestler analytics product to work with actual recorded match history.
