How do I keep a running dual score?
Enter the two team names and the number of scheduled bouts. Fourteen bouts are shown initially, but you can select between one and twenty for a different weight list. Each bout starts as not wrestled so an incomplete dual does not invent points. Choose the winning team and the result, then read the running totals in bout order. A double forfeit completes that row without awarding either side points. Use the deduction fields for referee-assessed team penalties rather than changing an individual result.
Which freestyle team scoring system does this use?
The freestyle mode follows UWW classification: a points win awards three to the winner; technical superiority awards four; a fall, forfeit or disqualification awards five. A losing wrestler who scored technical points receives one classification point after a points or superiority loss, so each eligible row asks whether the loser scored. Freestyle has no major decision category. Some domestic dual events publish another scoring scale; select this mode only when your event uses the classification system shown in the source.
What happens when the two teams finish tied?
Equal totals are displayed as tied. A mathematical calculator cannot infer conduct penalties, all event-specific criteria or the official outcome of a tie without the complete meet record. The result therefore asks the scorer to apply the tournament’s published tiebreaker procedure. During an unfinished dual, the higher total is described as a lead rather than a final victory. Correct a row by changing its winner or result and every subsequent running total recalculates immediately. Printed output includes the entered deductions and all bout results.
Frequently asked questions
Are match points the same as team points?
No. A 7-3 bout score is an individual match result. In high school folkstyle, the winning team receives three dual points for that decision; the eight points scored in the bout are not added to the team total.
How many team points does a pin score?
A high school folkstyle fall scores six dual points. The UWW freestyle classification option awards five to the winner and zero to the loser. Check which scoring scale the event has adopted.
Can I undo a bout or record a forfeit?
Yes. Change the bout back to Not wrestled to remove it, or choose Forfeit with the winning team. Double forfeit awards zero to both sides. No information is sent to the tournament product automatically.
