Quick answer
Generate round-robin wrestling pairings for two to thirty-two unique entrants without signing in. The tool rotates the field so every wrestler meets every other wrestler exactly once, with no athlete scheduled twice in a round. An odd-sized field has one wrestler resting in each round. The output lists pairings by round with spaces for results and can be copied, printed or shared as a snapshot. It does not automatically rank standings, enforce rest times or run championship tiebreakers.
How are the round-robin pairings generated?
Paste one unique name per line. The tool keeps one position fixed and rotates the remaining positions after each round, creating disjoint pairs across the field. For an odd field, it adds an empty rotation position and omits that pairing, leaving one athlete without a bout in that round. That empty position is a rest slot rather than a recorded forfeit. Two entrants create one match, while larger groups create a complete schedule without repeating an opponent. Add team labels or initials when athletes have identical names.
How many bouts and rounds will I get?
For n entrants, a single round robin needs n times n minus one divided by two matches. An even field has n minus one rounds; an odd field has n rounds with one rest slot in each. The result reports the actual contested match count and displays the pairing list for every round. This utility runs one pass through the opponent combinations. It does not create best-of-three series, pool qualifiers or elimination finals after the round robin. For those formats, configure the event brackets in the tournament product.
What should a coach review before using the pairings?
Pairings are a format plan, not proof that athletes are eligible or safely matched. Review age, weight, experience and the event’s required recovery time before allowing each bout. A round label does not by itself establish a clock start time or a guaranteed rest interval. The printed table has a result space for handwritten recording; winner ranking and tied standings remain governed by your announced rules. A shared link is an independent snapshot, so another device does not receive subsequent changes or match results automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Does each wrestler meet every other entrant?
Yes. The single round-robin schedule contains every unique pair exactly once. The total is n(n - 1)/2 matches, and each athlete has n - 1 opponents.
What happens with an odd number of wrestlers?
The rotation includes an empty position. One athlete rests each round, and no contested match is created for that slot. Each athlete still meets every other entrant once.
Does this calculate standings and tiebreakers?
No. It produces round pairings and writing spaces for results. Use your event’s published standings rules or Smart Wrestler’s tournament bracket workflow for live results and rankings.
