How does a facility host an event on Smart Wrestler?
- Create a free account and request an Admin account so hosting is switched on.
- Connect the facility's Stripe account, where entry fees will land as each family pays.
- Build the event: style, individual or team, divisions, weight classes, bracket format, number of mats, weigh in mode, consents, entry fee, and refund policy.
- Publish. Registration opens, capacity stops it automatically, and the roster page tracks every entry with a CSV export.
- Event day: staff and volunteers log in with their own roles for weigh in, check in, scoring, and awards. Brackets generate per weight class, the dynamic mat queue keeps every mat fed, and every match is scored live with an audit trail.
- Complete the tournament to send final placement notifications and publish awards and team standings.
Can we show live scoreboards on the facility's TVs?
Yes. Every mat has a full screen spectator display you can open on any TV, projector, or tablet. It shows the current bout, clock, and score and updates itself as the table scores, with no refresh and no scoreboard controller to buy. The digital bout board shows the queue for every mat on the same screens or on every parent's phone.
What does hosting cost a facility?
One hosting fee per paid event, based on the capacity you reserve: $100 up to 150 wrestlers, $150 to 300, $225 to 500, $325 to 800, custom above that. Team events are $50 to $200 by team count. Entry fees are yours; a $2.50 to $3 registration fee per wrestler is added to the parent's total at checkout. If the event is free to enter, there is no hosting fee at all, which makes in house member events free to run.

Every wrestler who competes at your events builds a profile: record, tournament history, and Wrestler Tendencies from live scoring. Members and their parents follow it on free accounts and can upgrade for mat call alerts and deeper analytics. That profile follows them to every other Smart Wrestler event, which is one more reason for families to train where the events run well.

Does Smart Wrestler manage memberships or class schedules?
No. It manages competition. Facilities keep their membership software for dues and use Smart Wrestler for tournaments, duals, and scrambles.
How many mats can one event run?
Set the number of mats when you create the event. Each mat gets its own queue, scoring screen, and spectator display.
Can we run a tournament for members only?
Yes. Set capacity and registration deadlines as you like, and set no entry fee to skip the hosting fee entirely.
Do we need Wi-Fi for every table?
Each scoring device needs a connection, through Wi-Fi or mobile data. Most facilities already have this; spectator displays only need the same.
