Quick answer

The abbreviations on a wrestling bracket describe how a match was won: DEC (decision, by 1 to 7), MD (major decision, 8 to 14), TF (technical fall, 15 point lead), F or FALL (pin), FF (forfeit), DEF or INJ (injury default), MFF or M-FOR (medical forfeit), DQ (disqualification), and BYE (no opponent). Overtime notes include SV (sudden victory), TB (tiebreaker), and UTB (ultimate tiebreaker). Scoring codes on a scoresheet include TD (takedown), E (escape), R (reversal), NF or N2/N3/N4 (near fall), P (penalty), S (stalling), and C (caution).
