Why is a wrestling team app different from a generic team app?

Generic team apps schedule practices and send group messages. They know nothing about brackets, mats, or bout numbers, which is the entire problem on tournament day. A wrestling team app has to be connected to the tournament itself, so that when the table worker finishes a match the bracket, the mat queue, and the coach's phone all update at once.

Smart Wrestler is connected because the tournament runs on it. Brackets, mat assignments, live scores, and results come from the same system the host is using, not from a volunteer retyping them.

What does the coach dashboard show?

• Roster: every wrestler associated to the team, with their profile, record, and tournament history.
• Today: each wrestler's bracket, weight class, mat assignment, and current status (in the hole, on deck, up, done).
• Live brackets: updated the moment a match is completed at the table.
• Results: placements, records, and team standings as brackets finish.
• Analytics: score audit trails and Wrestler Tendencies for linked wrestlers on Upgrade, for all wrestlers on Ultimate.

How do team mat call alerts work?

As the mat queue advances, Smart Wrestler sends targeted notifications for each wrestler: in the hole, on deck, and up to wrestle. On Coach Upgrade and Ultimate, the coach receives them for every wrestler on the team, so a coach with twelve kids across six mats knows where to be next without reading six bout boards.

Does it work for team duals?

Yes. For team tournaments the coach registers the roster, sets a lineup for each dual, and follows the dual bout by bout. Roster wrestlers are unlimited during team and dual tournaments even on the free coach tier.

Is there an Android or iPhone app to install?

There is nothing to install. Smart Wrestler is a responsive web app: open smartwrestlertracker.com on Android, iPhone, iPad, or a laptop, log in, and add it to the home screen if you want an icon. Notifications arrive in the app. That also means the table workers, parents, and coaches at an event are all on the same version with no update lag.
