Results the moment the last whistle blows

By Smart Wrestler · Updated 2026-09-14

Placements, records, team standings, and awards, computed from completed matches and posted to every phone in the gym. No typing, no waiting for the head table.

Quick answer

Smart Wrestler generates results and awards automatically. As each bracket completes, the awards page shows final placements grouped by division and weight class, with each wrestler's record and point differential, plus team standings built from completed matches. Pressing Complete Tournament sends final placement notifications to every family and coach, closes staff access, and writes the results permanently to each wrestler's profile. Live results are visible on the public tournament page throughout the day.

What does the awards page show?

  • Final placements for every division and weight class as its bracket completes, first through the last place the format awards.
  • Each placed wrestler's record for the event and point differential, useful for tiebreaks and outstanding wrestler decisions.
  • Team standings built from completed matches, shown alongside individual placements.
  • A working list for the awards table: hand out medals weight class by weight class as they finish rather than in one crush at the end.

How do results reach families?

Three ways. Live: every completed match updates the bracket and the wrestler's status on every free account immediately, with a results posted notification. At completion: Complete Tournament sends final placement notifications to everyone involved. Permanently: results, record, and placement are written to the wrestler's profile, where they build the season history and, on premium plans, feed Wrestler Tendencies.

What if a result needs correcting?

A completed match can be reopened from the matches list, corrected, and completed again; scores and the audit trail are preserved. If the tournament has already been completed, reopen the tournament, fix the match, and complete it again. Brackets, placements, and standings recompute, and staff regain access automatically for the correction.

How are team standings calculated?

From completed matches, using the style's result values for duals (decision 3, major 4, tech fall 5, fall or forfeit 6 in folkstyle) and the event's team scoring for individual tournaments. Hosts should publish their team scoring rules; the standings page shows the totals as brackets finish so coaches can see where a dual or a title stands before the last match.

What do public results look like?

Every tournament has a public results page at its own address, listing placements by division and weight class and team standings, plus the full brackets with win types and scores. Link it from a club website or share it with families the moment the event completes. Test events and drafts are never published.
