Smart Wrestler's score audit trail is a complete, ordered record of every action scored in a match: the action type, which wrestler, the point value, the period, and the clock time, including undos and the final result. It is written automatically as the table scores. Hosts and staff use it to resolve disputes and to correct a completed match without rebuilding the bracket; families and coaches on premium plans can view it for their wrestlers (or all wrestlers on Ultimate); and Wrestler Tendencies analytics are computed from it.
What is recorded?
- Every scoring action: takedown, escape, reversal, near fall (with point value), penalty, caution, stalling.
- Which wrestler it was scored for, the period, and the match clock at that moment.
- Clock events: start, pause, resume, period changes.
- Undo operations, so a corrected mis-tap is visible as a correction rather than silently erased.
- The match ending result: decision, major, tech fall, fall (with time), forfeit, default, medical forfeit, or disqualification.
How does it help the host on tournament day?
A disputed score stops being an argument between a coach and a volunteer. The head table opens the trail, reads the sequence, and either confirms the score or reopens the match to correct it. Because the trail persists through reopen and complete, a correction after the fact keeps the full history, and the bracket, placements, and team standings recompute from the corrected result.
What does a family or coach see?
On premium plans, the audit trail for each match: how the points came, when momentum shifted, whether the third period was an escape and a stall call or a takedown at the edge. Wrestler Upgrade ($30 per year or $4 per event) shows a wrestler's own trails; Parent Upgrade ($40 or $6) shows linked wrestlers; Coach Upgrade ($150 or $20) shows linked team wrestlers; Ultimate tiers show trails for every wrestler on the platform.
How does the audit trail feed analytics?
Wrestler Tendencies reads the trails to compute positional rates: takedown efficiency per neutral start, escape rate per bottom opportunity, near fall rate per top start, reversal rate. Because the trail is the official record scored at the table, the analytics need no separate stat keeper and cover both wrestlers in every match.
Is the trail the official record?
It is the platform's record of what the table scored, the same record that advanced the bracket. The referee's decisions on the mat are the officiating authority; the trail documents what was entered from them. Hosts who keep paper bout sheets as a backup will find the two agree, and the trail has the timestamps.
