Registration that fills the roster and the bank account

What does the parent see when registering?

1. The tournament page with dates, venue, divisions, weight classes, entry fee, and refund policy.
2. Wrestler selection from their linked wrestlers, with division and weight class, and at home weight if the host chose that mode.
3. Consent checkboxes for the forms the host enabled, and the host's own waiver if uploaded.
4. A payment summary showing the entry fee, the registration fee, and card processing, before they are sent to Stripe.
5. Confirmation, a payment received notification, and the wrestler on the roster.

What does the host control?

• Entry fee and refund policy: full refund, partial refund, or no refund, shown to parents at registration.
• Registration deadline and capacity; registration stops automatically at capacity.
• Consent forms: media, medical, and liability, each switchable, plus a custom PDF or image waiver.
• Roster visibility: visible now, after registration closes, or hidden until the tournament starts.
• Registrations page with filters, a CSV export, and cancellation.

How does payment work?

The host connects a Stripe account before publishing; a paid tournament cannot take a registration until Stripe can accept charges. Entry fees settle directly into that account as each parent pays and pay out on the host's own Stripe schedule. Smart Wrestler's registration fee ($2.50 per wrestler on entry fees up to $50, $3 above) is added to the parent's total, never deducted from the entry fee. An abandoned payment leaves no registration behind; the parent simply registers again.

How do refunds and cancellations work?

Hosts refund from the tournament billing page or in Stripe; both stay in sync. A full refund removes the wrestler from the roster, weigh ins, and brackets and returns Smart Wrestler's fee too. A partial refund keeps the wrestler entered. Stripe's processing fee is not returned on refunds, which is worth writing into your policy.

How does registration connect to the rest of the day?

The registered roster is the weigh in list, the check in list, and the bracket pool. Unpaid entries cannot be checked in. At home weights entered at registration mark wrestlers weighed in before they arrive. When brackets generate, only paid, checked in, weighed in wrestlers are included, which is why a Smart Wrestler bracket never has a ghost entry.
